Interesting public sex/Sen. Larry Craig development

What happened to Clinton couldn't have happened in continental Europe. Also I can't remember having heard of someone being put to prison for soliciting sex, even though I hear from time to time that one such offender (?) was slapped in the face by some non consenting targeted.
 
I wish we had more cases like the Profumo affair,now that one had a rat pack sort of class.
reading about the Craig arrest from writers like Alan Stang, well its sordid yes, but not in a good way.
 
IN ref. to the first respondent: Those weren't the only things that were suspicious. Going over the report there were several more suspicious things that he did. All in all it was the preponderance of evidence that he faced. Pleading guilty would be a wise decision for most people however for a Senator of his persuasion and status it was not. A disorderly could be interpreted as spilling beer oneself and cursing his misfortune and throwing a towel in a restroom. Disorderly is a catchall and the police & prosecutors let people go with it as the fine is often minimum and no one is seriously hurt.

Dito. God knows I've had lots of those.

I don't see how asking for gay sex (which he did or didn't) changes a man's ability to be a politician.

But pleading guilty when you aren't is plain dumb.
 
Alex: The officer probably wouldn't have been in there if there hadn't been a number of complaints from restroom users about being solicited and/or bothered.

You get enough of those complaints and you do something about them.
 
Tuo...... Nail on the head. His party has more of a problem with that very fact. I think it's interesting that here it is 2007 and Republicans still have a problem with discriminatory behavior.

The sad thing is that these types of cases are tried in the court of public opnion where the parties are hack reporters, hack politicians and a hack for a victim. I am waiting for someone to come along and just say to the press and the world, "mind your own business!". OTH, I really dislike people who stigmitize other groups when they appear to a member of that group themselves. My two cents.

It did not seem to hurt Sen David Vitter's reputation one bit. I thought sexual affairs while married are disgusting either way. Will the hack ever get it right?
 
Why don't they make bathroom stalls go all the way to floor? Viola, no more problem.

I don't get the airport bathroom as a place too. You have to have a ticket to get in there (it was a secure area, right). Who has enough time between flights for hanky-panky? Delayed flights I might understand, but who can plan a flight delay?

Plus, if you can fit your junk thru those little gaps between the wall panels, is it even worth it?
