Found this over on Leicarumours - apologies if it's already been posted. Running time 53mins. I feel the interviewer's persistent efforts to get HCB to admit his talent could have been edited out, but I still found it interesting to watch.

This the one with Charlie Rose? Cringe worthy, go watch "The Impassioned Eye" instead, would not recommend this documentary, Charlie really gets on my (and HCB's) nerve in this interview. But I've heard Charlie's interview with Avedon is very good.

It's not the interview in French in which HCB says he doesn't know the meaning of "decisive moment"!

I think the best story I ever heard about Henri Cartier-Bresson was that he was about to be captured by the Germans so he burried his Leica. After a year he escaped from prison and went to go get his camera back and it was still there.

He also burried a couple of his photos and negs if I remember well ; he actually was captured, escaped, lived in clandestinity for some times - hence the Moma making a "posthumous" exhibition about his work, mourning his seemingly untimely death...
