Introduction & question

Wish to introduce myself. I am a new RD-1 owner and new rangefinder shooter. Some of the pictures captured with the camera for your enjoyment are enclosed. Have a question regarding the eyepiece. I got a replacement for the original since it was modified by previous owner (rubber top removed). However, I can't unscrew the old one-it does simply screw in right? Any ideas?

yes, it just screws/unscrews...the previous owner might have used locktite or something like it to keep it from unscrewing when walking around...it happens.
