The camera I use the most, because it is with me all the time , is my phone

Who is getting the 6s ?

I'm pretty happy with last years phone, but I'm a sucker for the green grass over yonder - 12 megapixels anyone ?

Marc.

My iPhone 6 is like new to me, so I will wait another 20 months or so before I think of replacing it.

The "s" cycle is the way to go, meaning buy a 6s, skip the 7 and buy a 7s.

Apple is now making that very easy and cheap, buy it on a monthly plan from Apple.

love my 6+ as well, surprisingly it was also my most used camera on our recent europe trip.

6s+ is very tempting but i might wait until reviews of the 12mp camera shows up first

Keep moving, nothing to see here ;)

The Sony Z5 has a 23mp ExmorRS sensor with a G-grade lens, that is almost double the megapixel count. It has a 5.2" screen as opposed to the Apple's 4.7 and, more importantly: the Sony Z5 has a full HD screen (1920x1080) while the iPhone 6s doesn't (just 1334x750). Why would I want an Apple?

I've preordered a 6s. Finally making the upgrade from my current iPhone 4.

I'm really interested to try out the Live Photos feature.

Though my wife's 5 is coming to the end of its battery life, so she may upgrade to the 6S. I'd b interested to see a comparison of the 6 and 6S images.

No doubt you are correct on the specs

I asked a friend who worked in the industry for a major cellphone manufacturer - he has 2 phones , iphone and android Samsung S6, I asked him if his house was on fire and he could only take one, which would he grab
He said after a thought, iPhone, the user experience is much nicer, android has 3 layers of software "Android, then the manufacturers layer of tweaks then the cellphone providers apps and crap.

be of course to each his own

The ultimate gadget... And we do love our gadgets. I have the iPhone 6+ and love it. I can't imagine not having a mobile.

I'm sure the 6s is great but for now my 6 will do.

I have a 6 plus while my wife has a 5 -- it's still going strong, but who knows. My wife thinks it might make it to the 7 or even the 7s.

Replaced my battery, cost me $17 from Other World Computing, you have to be good with your hands to do it (the connectors are VERY small), but the battery was OEM, and actually a bit stronger.

Regarding Samsung -- own one of their appliances and you will simply want blood.

What happens to my 2-year plan with Verizon then?

Thats what Im struggling with now.. No more 2 year contacts.. Which means, no more phone subsidies. You either pay the phone outright, or pay the cell company about $25 a month for the phone for 2 years. Considering the phone used to be $200, $8 a month, we are getting screwed......
Plans are now cheaper, but not that much cheaper, cell phone companies are making out more than last year.....

Rather like the 4S size (father-in-law) happy with my five, sixes are just too big for the pockets I have.

Skipping two or three generations is the way to go on many things.

I am still using the M8 and M9, with older M 4/3 cameras. Same will happen to my iPhone. Getting a new model (n) and dumping model (n-1) is not for me.

After almost a year with an IPhone 6 mine actually is new. The mute button broke and my provider decided they couldn't fix it, so under my plan they replaced it last week. So no need for a new phone for some time for me. I am interested how the S will perform though. I have a feeling it is yet another nail in the coffin for the digital point and shoot.
