Rubber-banding an iphone onto the back of my M3 gave results like this

You can clearly see the framelines and the focus patch in the centre. There seems to be a problem with the vertical alignment, maybe I need a different rubber band?

There may be some practical applications beyond showing what it looks like through the VF... but I can't think of any off hand.

cool use of rubber bands. i use the lightmeter app as well. not the fastest of things. but it's free! can't really complain about that
 
Darren, battery life is about 8 hours, less with Angry Birds.

I tried to find a Leica red rubber band. Not too far off I think, although purists will disagree.

Anyone game to try the same with their camera and post some pics?
It'd be interesting to see the different frame lines and designs.
