IR film in a Bessa R

You can try.
AFAIK, most super-modern SLRs stuffed with electronics, not suitable for IR , becouse they use IR light inside for counting frames.
Old mechanical cameras (both SLR and RF) do not have such stuff, though they are safe for IR. As for Bessa - it's a quite simple camera, more resebmling older mechanical gear. So, probably it will be OK, if light seals on your camera are tight enough.

for additional safety, you can add some black duct tape to the rear camera door, after you load the film.
Remember that IR films must be loaded and removed from camera in the dark room

Worked OK for me (with Maco, not Kodak -- not tried that in a Voigtländer) without covering the window. By all means cover the window as well, for belt-and-braces, but I'd be surprised if you need to.

Cheers,

R.
