IR film / sources / RF focusing

I don't think Cokin makes an 87c, actually.

The r72 has it's 50% transmission point at....720nm! Not surprising, I know. so that'll work for the Konica and the Ilford, which are both good to about the same 750 or so mark.

The 89b is really, really close to about the same point. It might be a bit higher. But it's very close and should work with those films, as well. The 87 is almost 800, and the 87c is even higher. those will give you blank negatives with Ilford or Konica stock. And since the Rollei falls off so quickly in response past 820, you might be better served with the 89b or r72 anyway.

The only real benefit to the Cokin system is versatility. You get one holder, the filter, and a bunch of rings and you can put on any lens. You can also add on grad ND's and other filters easily. For me, this was huge as my SLR lenses are 77mm, and a 77mm Hoya r72 is way over $175.

The price benefit might not be worth it to you, though, as RF lenses all have much smaller filter sizes.
