IR on camera light?

I was looking at on camera lights and I saw the IR light by Sima http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/560304-REG/Sima_SL_10IR_SL_10IR_Night_Vision_On.html
and I was wondering if it wouldn't work with the M8 in black and white?

I don't know how well it will work, I can tell you however that without the UV/IR filter on the m8 I can capture the IR signal of my TV remote, So with a wee bit of practice I'm sure it'd work fine.

I have a friend who's heavy into documenting nightclub scenes and he rocks IR film with an IR filter on his flash and can cruise around without anyone seeing the flash go off in the dark...it's pretty swank and very handy.
