And what's your verdict on this camera with these type of lenses?
There seems quite some vignetting in your pictures although you didn't use wideangels.
Further it is hard to judge by these pictures whether they are really sharp.
What type of adapter did you use?
Did you do any post processing?

Post process in Lightroom with my own custom presets, I'm adding the vignetting for effect. The link I provided has some non vignette images. Airplane image was shot through tinted glass.
Now the downside right now is LR can't process the RAW images so I shot RAW+small jpeg. Once I can process the RAW images I know the results will be improved. Small jpeg's fine for web though.
The 90mm Summicron was very easy to focus with on the E-p1 as was the 35/f2. I also had a 21/f4 CV on it. Sure an optical VF would be nice, but the LCD did an ok job. Kind of funny looking with the 90 attached to the E-p1 for sure.
Once you get into the correct menu settings, Manual control is fairly easy to operate. Getting to Manual is not easy, the E-p1's menu is a bit odd to get down. I think there's too many hidden features that should automatically show in the menu. For $899, easier manual setttings would be nice. Why just shoot on "P" for that much money?
I had a borrowed Hong Kong M adapter, worked fine.
And the HD video is not bad, though using a Leica lens adds front weight making steadiness a bit difficult without a tripod.

Damn, if I knew you were here with it I'd have offered to buy you a pint so I could have a look at the thing: so far none of the dealers have it here. Apparently the Irish agent went belly-up or something so there's no-one really selling Olympus wholesale here and the UK office is less than useful.

Some nice captures! Walking tours in Ireland are what got me thinking about m-4/3 initially (ended up with a G1). The first year I lugged a Canon DSLR and lenses, and it was too much. The second year I took a Canon G9, but found using the LCD to compose was too frustrating (obviously you don't, or you wouldn't have the E-P1). This year renovations to the house have postponed travel plans. Another year perhaps.
I'm considering a 90mm for my G1, but the CV 75mm and even the Canon FD 85mm f1.8 are under consideration, too.

Ha! Our local dealer claimed putting Leica lenses on it was impossible. Until I showed him.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the E-P1, I value these kind of accounts far more than the endless discussions about speculations and specifications (not that they are not fun to read sometimes

Great photos. Really makes me want to go back to Ireland.
I'm curious why you found it hard to get to manual mode. All you have to do is turn the dial on the left of the top plate to "M." That seems about as simple as you can make it. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by manual.
I've been using mine almost exclusively in manual with a 40/f2 summicron c and I love it. About as easy to use as my Leica CL.

What I meant by "Manual" was there are way too many hidden features in the menu system that should be out in front. Yes, easy to turn to M and go at it for sure. Changing ISO or selecting focus points takes too many steps.
