Is anyone else having troubel with the site ? It is acting very strange and I am getting all sorts of error messages etc. (david@ociw.edu)

Is the software upgrade still in progress ?

David, I discovered that my old bookmark was taking me to a page where I got an error. However, I just replaced the bookmark with a newer one, that took me to the home page. Is your trouble like that, or worse?

Ed

No trouble here... earlier I was getting a message that the site was down for the software upgrade, but it seems to be running fine now... I'm running firefox v1.5.0.4

You might want to check Jorge's original post regarding the software upgrade... I think he suggested some fixes to others having similar troubles.

Hope that helps!

... also (and this was a very nice feature of the previous incarnation!) when selecting threads under the New Threads listings, I am no longer taken to where I last, left off. A cookie is not being set?? or ???

Hi...

It LOOKS quite similar to the former layout, with Gallery now moved over to the right near Classifieds. Early this morning, rff was down for renovations, and I was directed to DSLReXchange... kind of nice to visit.

Later this morning, I had no trouble accessing rff with EITHER Firefox or IE. The font looks to be the same size, and I'm one of those "old farts" who's been wearing reading glasses since age 26!

The changes do NOT appear to be radical, and if they make for greater efficiency and enjoyment of the site... Let's go for it.

yes, I've had the same issues. And the "reply to thread" screen is unpleasant. The bright box against the dark background and the layout is awkward.

Problems I'm having:

1) Mozilla doesn't want to take me to the home/main page - but IE works

2) I can't log in unsing IE - it doesnt accept my password

3) The text in the body of the messages is still very small (even when using the +-layout)

The font is too small. . . or is that something I can change on my system? I notice that the font is smaller on the pages than it was before. At least, it is on the New Posts page.

yikes, the edit screen (to edit a post) is very jarring.

I want to say that I wish, when you look at a classified ad, that you could access the seller's post history by clicking on their username. That would be a good idea.

Actually I like the new edit box a lot. Slicker than the old one.
