Is cost/convinience a major factor for your medium choice (film vs digital)?

If only more people could understand and accept that last sentence.

True.Some people like shooting and printing with film and film cameras. Some people like shooting and printing with digital cameras. They are different ways of making photographs. Each has its own strengths and each has its own weaknesses. When we pick one way over the other, we are merely choosing one set of advantages and the disadvantages that go along with it over another set of advantages/disadvantages.
 
Handling film can be very inconvenient. Buying, processing, scanning, airport x-rays, airport inspections, storage, whatever, can be a bloody nightmare. We all are aware digital is much simpler in this regard.

But I like film cameras. I really like the simplicity of my M2, M4-P, F2 and F3. -No menus, I've used the things or things like them for over 50 years, the replacement cost is fantastic, the reliability far exceeds what I've seen so far in digital cameras and (except for the F3) I don't have to depend on batteries.

The final image is more than adequate.
