Is commercially processed E6 less susceptible to dust and water marks than C41 processed at the same place?

I'm curious because i just pulled out and rescanned some slides from last year. Each one looked very clean compared to the color negatives done at the same shop.

is there something inherent in the processing method that makes a slide less likely to pick up dust, etc., during processing?

Or is this just luck of the draw?

My first reaction was 'of course not' but then I fell to thinking that generally, my home-processed E6 is cleaner than my home-processed C41, so maybe there is something inherent.

Bear in mind, though, that it's two completely different lines at the shop (are both processed on-site?) and that there's often a lot of floating crap in the final stabilizer bath on the C41 line.

Cheers,

R.
