is it cv or vc?

Actually, I have used them interchangeably.

CV = Cosina/Voigtlander

VC = Voigtlander/Cosina

Maker/Brand name vs. Brand name/Maker - you choose.

As long as one knows what you're talking about, what difference does it make?

CV, as all school kids know, is cuties vaccination. If you show a C and a V with your fingers to the cuties carrier, you are immune.
How did you get through elementary school without this knowledge, Joe?

I'ts just globalization, etc etc, bla bla bla. All the brands of fine "stereo" equipment made in the US, such as, KLH, Advent, are now seen plastered on really low quality electronics made...wherever the labor is cheapest. Same for TV's - from what I understand Zenith was one of the last to be made in the US. Generally I don't care, but I do think I'd have a hard time buying a Bianchi bicycle not made in Italy...
