Can it be done? My aim is to collect a early Kiev outfit, preferably a 2 era, with each part manufactured in the same year. I know that the body serial number will start with a two digits that denote the year but is this true of the rest of the gear?
My aim is for a 35mm, 50mm (Possably both f1.5 and f2), 85mm and 135mm and a universal viewfinder, what else might there be?

yea - same goes for lenses.quite easy as there'r thousand of fsu gear

Depends on the year. Early 50's should be easy, but if you are going to try for 1949 or earlier, you will have to look for quite a while, and spend a fair bit of cash.
