RJBender: When did you take that great heron shot? I thought Ivan took out most of the beaches around there. I drive through about every 6 weeks, I should stop. Gulf Islands is kind of like that. Down here it's all high rise.

2003. Thanks, Paul. Those herons are getting tamer. They tend to hang out around people who have fishing poles and bait buckets. 😀 Years ago, it seems like you couldn't get within 50 feet of them.
