Is Leica Warranty Extension worth it?

I purchased a new M-E in Feb 2013, so its got a shade over 12 months warranty left.

Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with Leica's 1 year extension? I know its a while away before I need to consider it but curious.

I find it far too expensive. I paid 300 Euro for a two-year extension on a 60.000 Euro car. But you must decide for yourself whether a sense of security is worth the outlay.

Knowing the cost for 1 yr extension would be nice data point to make the call - how much you use the camera would also be a factor.
