Is Neopan 400 bulk still available?

When you do five to eight rolls at a time as I so often do, yes. 🙂

Being that so much of it is interchangeable I do not find it as much of a mess...

No spilling the fixer bottle over on the granite counter of the bathroom....no that's a mess. And a smelly one. 😀

Someone commented that the savings aren't really there with bulk loading which is true in some ways I guess. I like the process though and find sitting down with a handful of free discarded cassettes from the 1hr breathing life back into them with my loader very satisfying!

Loaders are clever but simple devices and fun to use which feeds the gadget freak in me.

I'm thinking that maybe I'll replace Neopan 400 with HP5 as a bulk loadable every day 400 film ... 🙂

How close are they resemble each other, Neopan 400 and the HP5?
Can they be replaced?
I love the tonality and the dynamic range of the Neopan, is the HP5 the same?

There have been a few threads comparing the two - personally I find the HP5+ to have better tonality. I have a spare 100ft roll of Neopan that I would hapily trade for HP5+, if postage was not so expensive.

Yes, used DD-X 1+4 quite a lot, now playing with Ilford ID-11 (powder developer, cheaper than DD-X) and I've some Microphen waiting for a trial run too. Was very happy with the DD-X exp. with HP5'+.
