Is the 80/20 rule working in rff?

I have often heard an old saying that goes something like this, "20% of the workers do 80% of the work." or "20% of the people have 80% of the money."

Anyway, since we have over 5,000 rff members are only 20% of them going to vote on the Popflash contest? We now have less than 600 votes cast which is in the neighborhood of 10% of the forum. What say you?

Just some idle thoughts from my idle mind tonight.

Many of those 5000+ members are no longer active. Some have not posted in well over a year, and a lot have not visited the site in quite some time.

And interesting statistic would be how many members have signed in and visited the site since the contest began.

As a corollary, I wonder how many joined in order to enter the contest and, having not been a finalist, just disappeared?

I voted for the wrong one, and it sucks, but actually, they are all worthy but one (won't say which). I do believe that it is more like 10/90 on RFF - seeing as I can pretty much write down on a piece of paper all of the names that I am likely to see on the page any given day. There is very rarely ever a name that shows up that I don't know.

Just look at this thread. Look at all of them. But, that isn't a bad thing. We have a huge audience, is all. It's like we're a stage show of circus freaks.

My vote went for the pic I found the best. But that was my personal criteria. The others were very good, but there was a best one for me... and that's the one not winning.

That's fine anyway. I've done my duty as a good RFF citizen.
