Is the added cost of an MP(240) worth it?

Sending in my M9 next week to confirm my suspicion that it has a corroded sensor. If true, I'll probably upgrade. The difference in money that it will cost to upgrade to the MP version, instead of the standard M(240), is $600. I'd be grateful to hear opinions as to whether the MP is worth the additional dollars.

no, but i'd get the M-P anyway. if you're splashing that much cash, what's another $600?

Aside from looking amazing, it has the 2GB Buffer, Sapphire Glass, and frame lever.

I have the MP M9 in Silver. It channels M2. I never have to worry about the glass of the LCD. Certainly I could not be bothered with screen protectors. I even took the baseplate cover plastic off my cameras. I look after them, and the odd wear mark is just part of their history.
