"Is the rich - hued Kodachrome era fading to black?"

I don't suppose anybody can doubt that its days are numbered. A sad day when it is all gone, or nobody processes it (almost the same thing).

William,

Thanks for posting the article about Kodachrome. I want to try a few rolls but I don't know what the difference between KR for $8.42 a roll and PKR for $12.99 a roll. The one's called "professional" and is over $4 more per roll. The article said that Kodak runs one batch at a time. Shouldn't these be the same film? Which one do you all use?

The only difference is that the PKR is supposed to have been stored more carefully. I just get KR on the rare occasion that the fancy strikes me. I'd be far more inclined to shoot it in 120 or 4x5 formats if it still existed; I personally have little use for 35mm transparencies.

DN - I looked but must have missed the earlier posting.
