Leica LTM Is the stiffness of IIIc (and later) die-cast bodies important?

Yes, have always wanted a black paint and that could trump many other considerations.
.

Last time i was in Japan, I had the intention of buying a clean IIIg, but ended up with a black paint iii....the black paint and svelte size totally quenched my desire for the bigger IIIg

I can totally understand that, Deardorff. I like the IIIg's viewfinder a lot, but it's ugly as sin compared to that III.

ICH BIN EIN BARNACKER.

A friend made me the custodian of his deceased fathers M3 and complete CLE set, and I always shoot the Barnacks after all... I have five, it got out of hand :p ... Nothing beats a nice Barnack (and a minifinder if you need it, I have both colors).

AWESOME CAMERAS

On my Leica II with Nikkor 105/2.5 lens,
though heavy, the camera is craddled in the hand,
or on a tripod using the lens tripod mount.
So never a strain on the lens mount.

Zinkpest is rife in German Märklin model trains of a certain age, you know, the really expensive ones, made in Germany. I have never seen zinkpest in a IIIc etc.

This 1938 Leica I(E) seems to have suffered from it, badly

Someone had used bondo to seal the hole.
