Hi Nikon friends,
I keep checking back here to see if there are any new posts, but there seems to be little activity.
My S2 is now on the bay having recently purchased an SP. What a delightful camera! Who said the finder was dark? My example is is very nice condition, titanium shutters, a few scratches on the top and bottom. The viewfinder is a joy to use. Alas, the wide angle viewfinder needs internal cleaning. I will post some pictures to the gallery.
Best regards,
Charlie
PS: Does anyone know which is the proper shade for the last chrome version of the 85 f2?

I don't know where you are, but it's a beautiful fall day here. I hope everyone is out taking pictures with their RFs!
(I was, but now I'm back home doing the laundry. Should be up to the spin cycle about now...)

I used to go to school near Greensboro NC. Nice to see another NC'er around.

Howdy. We had a warmish but windy day.
It's true the Nikon forum doesn't get a lot of traffic. I like to think it's because everyone's out using their cameras!
We have a party tomorrow, and I'll be using my SP.
Don't know the proper shade for the chrome 85/2. I've used a generic black screw-on shade for years.

Hi Joe
don't know if tuscany is better but surely it's different. Weather in winter is almost never snowy but it's rainy, sometimes "very" rainy.
ciao!

Hi there,
The proper shade for the chrome 8.5cm is a screw in type, all chrome with no markings.
"....Not shown is the all chrome shade for the earlier chrome 85/2's..."
Looke here:

I am glad you posted.

Thanks!
Hi all,
Thanks for the replies--I wish I was in tuscany rather than in Greensboro working!
Best,
Charlie
