I had a chance to go out on a day trip with a Mamiya 7 + 80mm kit. Really enjoyed using it and fell in love with the 6x7 format.
The only complaint I have with this kit is it's size and weight. Which brings me to the other camera that I also had in mind. The Bessa III.
The one thing that's still on the back of my mind is that, although I am very happy with the 80mm, there are a couple of moments when I thought that a wider lens would have been perfect. But these moments are quite rare.
So, I'm thinking that an ideal kit for me would be a Bessa III with a decent wide angle adapter, a 0.6x would be lovely.
Is there such a thing in the market?

Could there be such a thing? Yes. Is there or will there be such a thing? No.

As far as I know there is not such an adapter. It would be huge and it would strongly deteriorate the image quality. At the same time it would render the rangefinder useless.
Your only hope is that at some point camera like Bessa III with wider lens willbe released.
BTW, concerning the weight - Bessa III is more compact than the Mamiya 7 with 80 mm lens when collpased but not that much lighter.
