Do you think a regular CLA will repair this camera?

It looks like an opportunity as it may sell a little low as a fixer-upper.

What would worry me about it is that it could easily be the result of a botched DIY repair (such as turning up the curtain tension too high to compensate for a dirty shutter.) I'm sure it could be fixed as long as there are no broken or missing parts, but it might fall into the category of "overhaul" rather than "CLA."
But then, I could be completely wrong, and it could need only an utterly trivial fix. In a gambling mood? That's pretty much what it comes down to...

That is the kind of feedback I am looking for, thank you. Most of you guys know more about repairs and problems with cameras than I do.

If the lens were whole I could sell it to recoup some of the repair cost.

I feel like we are on Survivor, an alliance has been drawn!
I am not going to bid too much though.
You saw the issue with the rear element of the lens right?

There are a couple of reasons a curtain will hang up into the film gate area. The curtain was installed or reglued in the wrong area of the roller blind (easy fix if the problem is with the first curtain, just reattach the curtain straps a little bit over on the roller: second curtain requires removal and reinstallation of the curtain). The other reason that comes to mind is the roller blind is off by a tooth (happens when someone removes the bottom shutter cage and gets the gears out of time, just requires disassembly and retiming). The P is a pretty easy camera to work on. You might want to consider attempting the repair yourself.

Joe, you could get E+ one for 324$ from Adorama... Or, maybe you talk about Canadian $...
E+=Excellent + Very clean
E = Excellent Shows normal wear, might have minor scratches, glass clean.
E - = Excellent - Average wear, may have small marks but no brassing
I would buy it, but I prefer LTM Leicas...

Joe- Would you really think that a Mint 'P' black dial with 50mm/1.8 is worth $350US?

Ohh...
Checks out certain local auction again
So $500NZ for a mint 'P' + 50mm/1.8 is a good price then.
If I was bothered to actually take it out and use it, I'd buy it. But as per normal the 500c and M2 are hogging all the glory right now...
