The ad is looking for any reasonable offers. I know many of you are OM lovers and would love your input.
Thanks!

The Nikon comes with cheesy lenses. Looks like the OM 10 has the shutter adapter so it's not AE only, which is a good thing. No clue on pricing for it.

I'd look for Om-1 - better overall camera and not that expensive

Hi,
The OM-10 is a pleasant camera and takes OM lenses but they give them away at silly prices on bay here (don't know about your part of the world). The prism should be OK unlike the OM-1 which gets attacked by something where the foam holds it. (No foam in OM10's, I'm told.)
And look at prices on ebay for those with lenses. There's a whole load of nice ones that are cheaper than you'd think and others that are not as dear as you'd expect. Most Leica users love OM's, imo.
Regards, David

They were both considered low end cameras for beginners, you would do better
with a Nikon N8008s N90S or OM 1, 2, 3, or 4.

The N-80 is a good camera. In addition to the standard set of autofocus lens it will take the newer G lens used on DSLR models..
Offer $45-60 for it..

Hi,
I'd expect to pick one up for the low opening price on ebay. Often they are in very good condition and haven't been thrashed like the OM 1's and 2's. In any case it's the lens that counts and they are the same for all cameras. The metering is also good and, of course, you have to go higher in the range for spot metering. But you've + 2 to -2 EV's over-ride on the OM-10.
FWIW I've had OM-1 & OM-1n and the OM-2n and two OM-10's. I sold the first OM-10 and realised I missed it when I bought one for the prism to repair an OM-1 (the non MD version from the '73 batch). As the repairer had a prism I'm now wondering about a complete overhaul etc of the OM-10.
