And what's really insane is that someone will snap that up and easily double their money on eBay. Mark Hama is a known name and would easily be a draw. But, you don't have to really worry about someone making money on your decision if the only place you have it is a blog. Not picking on you, but advertising on a blog.... Please!
I've been watching these black cameras get triple bucks on eBay for about 3-5 years now, and the gap is much larger now than 3 or 4 years ago.

Please forgive me. I am a Capitalist first and foremost. When someone tells me they are selling something, I tend to expect to see real efforts to sell. And, I can surely respect your "on the fence" reckoning about a reluctance to sell.
I guess I come from a place where something is for sale, or it's not for sale. If it's for sale, it's for sale for the most money I can get for it.
I used to restore and collect old cars. My thinking on selling unfinished or unstarted projects was that I would make a good price to someone who assured me they would take on the project, or finish a started project. You know what I found. They always lied, every last one of them. They would take my favor and resell it for the most the market would bear. It always made me feel the fool.
So, my point on your camera, and I apologize either for my harshness, or your mistaken interpretation, was that when we try to do monetary favors for people, they most often take advantage of us. If you sold your Black camera for $185, I would hate for you to see it on eBay for $600 and snapped up at that price on a Buy It Now.

Yeesh, this guy isn't even giving you a break on shipping! Dude, if you're selling a Minolta Himatic 7SII for nearly 600 clams, give the buyer a break on the shipping at least.
Funny that some will get bug-eyed that an old, rare, serviced good condition RF will go for - say, $200 but will think they got a "good deal" on a $250 digital point-n-shoot. If I had $200 to spend and my only choice was a classic RF made by a proper camera company or a "Casio", my $200 is going for that Oly RD.

Box is a bit tatty, a little brassing on battery cover. Cant be many in better nick.
It really is a good one, Fixed the shutter on it, dont think it worked from new. Certainly doesnt look like there has been a film through it.

Sorry, but Yashica sold those by the boxcar load and there are just too many of them for them to have any collector value. The Canon EF is also my favorite SLR, but NO ONE ever talks about it! I have two. One has a sort in the circuitry, I believe, as it eats batteries for lunch. Ti fix it would have cost over $100, so I bid on and won a perfectly function EF for under $70. Heavy as a block of lead, built like a tank (pardon the tired cliche) and just a great camera to use. I slap on a Canon 50/1.4 FD lens (that cost me $76) and I'm cookin' man! Glad to meet another fan.
