[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']For me, usually when I see a HDR photo, I think they either when too far or not enough. It can be used to create a subtle effect to improve an image. This can be so low keyed as to need a label identifying it as HDR. However, if you pass this point, you may as well go all out with the HDR effect. I’ve seen some examples that create a watercolor like effect or a style that reminds me of old postcards from the 1930s. In these examples, the effect was to set up color theme and reduce overall contrast. I have seen some heavy HDR images that I like quite a lot. Digital does allow the opportunity for this technique, so I say use it with skill and suitable judgment. Are the practitioners of HDR the new Pictorialists?[/FONT]

That color was hard to read for me. I plan to try hdr with the PSE tutorial link that Warren posted. Just need to get some registered shots with the tripod ready.

OK, well now I've done HDR, and remember why I don't like Photoshop and elements. This is the result of an under, and over exposed frame, then automerged per the PSE 8 HDR tutorial link above:
