Is this lens hood good?

Saw this on eBay. I'm not sure if the filter is as good a quality as from Contax, Hoya, or B + W, but I like the idea of it, especially that you don't have to take off the hood to put on the cap. Any experience with this setup?

I've used a very similar Hoya product with no trouble at all. Given the seller's guarentee, You can't lose 🙂

i don't care for a hood with a built in filter.
what if you want to use a yellow filter, then you have 2 filters in place.

and i also prefer a metal hood if i have a choice, better protection.

Got the filter yesterday. It's made in Japan by Bower. Anyone know if Bower filters are good?

I figured for $21 delivered, what the heck. I'll get the cap for the hood as well as another filter.

Bower filters are fine. Adorama has sold them for years.
