Hello all
I see a GRD IV advertised however looking at the lens barrel, I don't think its a IV. Photo attached. When I look at IV on the Ricoh site, I see the letters 'VC' on the lens barrel, however those letters are missing in the photo accompanying the ad.
I've asked the seller for a photo of the bottom plate and still waiting for a reply
Simple question - if 'VC' isn't on the lens barrel, does that 100% mean its not a IV?

Thanks for the reply. I'm on the look out for a IV and nearly pulled the trigger on this one.
You've saved me alot of disappointment.
BTW, although maybe best I check to see if this question has been asked elsewhere, but what are the pros and cons if I went with a III instead of a IV?

Definitely a III. The even bigger tell is the lack of external AF sensor above the auxiliary AF light. It made a return on the IV after being removed in the I to II model jump.
