According to what I can see from the most recent Tamarkin catalogue, it looks a IIIc. Online, the serial (3764B) makes it out to be a IIIc too. Can anyone confirm?

Looks more like a (late)Ia to me...

A IIIx has a rangefinder and slow speeds, this would be a I.

The thing is, the serial is 37648, which clearly puts it in the 1941/42 IIIc category on the cameraquest page. This is my main confusion. The lens is not detachable, and is a Elmar 50mm f3,5, making it most likely a I. I'm still a little confused.

Well-known
The Leica II has RF and separated VF, and IIIx have the same plus slow speeds in a separate dial in the camera front.
This one should be a I, but a late type.

Hi Ash,
the serial puts it as Leica I in 1930. See attached. Best,
Roland.
