Is this the going rate for a used 21/4.5?

The seller noted that there was a mark on the glass - I think he later updated the description to say mark in coating only and that it does not impact on picture quality. I was watching, but failed to bid...

Seems low to me too - though a 2.8/25 went for about £480 and a 1.5/50 for £450 recently so quite a bit down from their brand-new cost. Not sure if these Zeiss lenses lose value faster than Leica glass but it may seem that way.

Strange to come across this post, as I was the winning bidder, I actually bid because it had a mark on the coating a I know it little effect on the IQ, well not detectable to my eyes anyway, but it does put people off on ebay, so I thought it might go for a good price. Should arrive tomorrow so i'll run a film through at the weekend. I have to say I've had a great experience with the 25/2.8, hopefully this will have similar qualities......Robert.

I saw one in person for $660 AUD from a reputable store, but missed out on it because I hesitated. Kicked myself....

It's a good price, I was going to bid ...but I asked myself-how often do I use my 43mm om the Mamiya 7 (~21mm ish in 35mm terms) not very often. So I will try and use my existing 25mm more -until I find it not wide enough.

I find a mint silver Biogon 35/2 450£. But I don't believe any new Leica glass would meet any small prise drop too. Nothing new can, no way! Maybe I should have bought 35/2 asph for 800€ in very good shape (perhaps a mint), what offered to me two weeks ago.. (I think the owner was not awake of it's value and have tried only local advertising in our 5 millions people Finland.)
