I just bought it...but the seller says it is to put LTM lenses on a Canon FD/FL SLR....
Thanks..I know there is resent discussion here some where with a Canon P and a FD 50mm f/1.4 mounted...Hope I bought the right mount adapter.

I have one, Arbib, but I just sold my two Canon SLR bodies. You want a second copy of the wrong adapter?

As a heads up, you can also find at least one other brand adapter that mounts FL / FD Canon lenses on LTM bodies. I bought one on eBay. Its code is LEICAN and I believe its a Novoflex brand (see below). It works fine enough except that when mounting an M mount adapter on it and attempting to mount the entire assembly on an M camera, the diameter of the LEICAN adapter is a little too big, causing it to bind against parts of the camera body and preventing it from mounting properly. (M3 and M4P both have this problem.) It works fine on the LTM body however, and I have used both a 35mm f2.5 and a 28mm f3.5 successfully - using zone focusing of course. On eBay I have found this LEICAN option is somewhat cheaper than the Canon adapter which is in big demand and tends to attract high prices on the 2nd hand market. I think I paid around 50-60 bucks whereas the Canon brand ones often bid up to well over $100 based on my experience of trying to buy a Canon version on at least 3 occasions.

Here is a link to the B and H site which sells them new.

Incidentally there is also one designated LEINIK which does the same with Nikon mount lenses and I have another adapter (I think its of Russian origin) that allows me to mount an M42 lens on an LTM body.

Thanks,
I have been thinking of a M42 > M39, and was wandering if a PK > M42 > M39 would work... I already have a 28mm PK lens....

Does anyone make a PK Lens to M42 OR M9 Lens adapter??.

That is: use a PK lens on a M42 or M39 Camera...

LEICAN adapter does not work!!

LEICAN adapter does not work!!

Bought the LEICAN adapter so I could use Canon FD glass on my Leica's. Well I stuck it on, hung a 15mm FD lens on it and all the photos were out of focus. Not even close!

Put a 50mm 1.4 lens on it, opened the shutter at B and then put some wax paper where the film goes (using as ground glass). Well it will only focus at about 18 inches (lens set to infinity).

So does any know of an adapter that actually works??

This shot taken with the Canon Lens Mount Converter B attached to a Zorki and Rokinon zoom lens. Not a great photo - it was one of a few test frames, guess-focused, etc. I've only taken these few shots with it but it seemed to work okay. I got it years ago at a pretty cheap price in The Bay, but as mentioned, they've gone up. :(

I often use Canon Adapter B with Canon wide angle lenses on a Leica mount camera. The images come out in focus.

No, I don't think so. Both have the same rear flange-to-film focus distance (44.5 mm), so the adapter would have to be 0.0 thick. There is a P/K to M42 adapter, as I'm sure you know, and it also has to be 0.0 mm thick. It achieves this by going inside the P/K lens mount so that the M42 lens ends up flush against the camera body. No way to go the other way, I'm afraid.

I've used the "B" adapter for 17mm, 20mm, and 24mm FD lenses with zone focus. The focus is sharp. I've not scanned or enlarged any however.

Here goes again. Anyone want a Converter A (LTM lens on FL/FD body) and willing to send film in exchange?

Necessary question. The combination will not focus to infinity and so can be used only for close-up and macro work. LTM lenses are meant to work with a film-flange distance of 28.8mm, which is much greater than that of an FL/FD body.

[oops] ... which is much less than that ...
