ISE 35mm Contact Printer vs Printfile Sheet

Have you used an I.S.E Contact Printer for 35mm?
Do the contact sheets show the frame numbers?
Any problems with the top plate NOT being glass?

I have a Paterson and the slots are coming unstuck.
Am considering alternatives eg printing in Print File sheets.

Your experience and advice is much appreciated.

I print through printfile sheets, numbers do show up. I dont use a contact printer though, I just throw a piece of glass over the printfile / paper. I bought an 11x14 piece of glass years ago just for that.

My best is a Myoplex, wood base covered with felt, plexiglass hinged cover, holds 6 strips if 35 mm 6 frames long. Film is held in channels in plexi at 45 degree, one for top , one for bottom of each strip.

I bought it around 1960 so it is probably hard to find.

You can tape negs to back of heavy glass, not window glass. Have the shop break the corners.

I would not like printing through plastic. Makes the image fuzzy.

I have one of these also. Works ok
