Yes it arrived in all its glory the epitome of a once proud and regal rf MF
camera. The condition is good as described by Yuri at Fedka. The glass is ultra clean and free of blemish or fungus. Will try shooting some shots tomorrow. I am really pumped about this gem.

Ah, a Fedka Iskra is a real joy. You'll have a whole lot of fun. One bit of advice - try a roll of Fuji Reala in it. That film is just magical with the Industar 58 lens. I read somewhere on the net that the Russians used the last of the glass they took from Zeiss as war reparations to make that Tessar clone. I don't know how true it is, but it is one of, if not the, best Tessars I've had the pleasure to shoot.
There are only 2 cameras I regret selling. My Iskra was one (the other being my Mat 124G) and I'll have to get another one from Yuri one of these days.
Good Light!

Thanks for the suggestion about Reala
Thanks for the suggestion about Reala
I will try it as soon as I can. I just now loaded a 12 exp, roll of Provia 400 as a test roll. Now to find suitable subjects for bringing out the best in this Tessar clone lens. Am looking forward to tomorrow.Had no problem loading it once I found an extra take-up spool. The glass is so nice and clean it's begging for good light and good subjects.

Provia 400F rocks ! But you are brave, I would first have tried a test roll of dud film to check if the advance is working !
Make sure the lens/shutter doesn't have any "play" when the camera is unfolded, it can happend if the two small rivets on the side of the mount are "weak" it's an easy fix too...
Hmm also, remember to always /unfold gently/ otherwise it creates a sucking in the bellow that will ruin the film flatness..
Hmm otherwise also remember to wind/arm last; right before shooting (same film flatness reason)
Can't think of anything else, go out and shoot

Your comments are well received. I made a screen capture of your page so I can refer to it from time to time. Good comments and I probably should have tried a dummy roll but I'm pretty confident everything works. The FSU's I've gotten fron Fedka have all been excellent. Will post more comments as soon as I finish the roll. Wish me luck !
