Well the eB*y got me again this evening ;) and now I've a meter-less , no red window hole in the back, Iskra coming from Alex-photo.

Listed as Body- "VERY GOOD", lens - clean and clear, and "Everything works properly, Except Selftimer", I'm looking forward to some fun shooting with some Adox r25 & r100 & Tri=X oh my!.

I do however, wonder if the timer is something I could work on. I have a proper kit of tools for most if not all the work one might want to attempt on FEDs, Yashica, etc, but I don't want to over reach as I am taking my time working on my own cameras. After reading some on the Agfa Isolette? timer, I'm not sure thats the sort of job I want to take on.

Any advice is welcomed and so are ruminations, tips and hacks about working with the Iskra.

Cheers

Iskra shutters are quite packed little things. You can take it appart to a certain point without too much trouble, but you then reach a place where you would have /everything/ in a zillion pieces if you take the cover off.
Best way to do it is to study it externaly, then clean it with Ronsonol and put some graphite in a few strategic places to make it better.
If you want to take anything further on, I strongly suggest lots of digital macro photo and/or drawing a schematic as you go along :D
