My Iskra went on an extended vacation in the UK. I thought I'd run a quick roll through to see if the climate agreed with it.

Delta 100 in Barry's 2 bath formula.

f3.5, 1/500th (wide open) Point of focus is the word "hydrant" under the rim of the cap.

One more from the Iskra. This time stopped down.
First the whole view, then the detail shot.

Apparently, the driver's name is Mark.

Great camera ... I bet you were glad to get it back. 🙂

The lens of the Iskras is pretty amazing ... I think I read somewhere it's a Tessar design?

My favourite Iskra pic ... of my son's cat!

Great pic Keith ! - have you included it in your RFF album ? - I would send it straight to the Weekly Picks when I find it.

Cheers,
Ruben

Thanks Ruben ... that one's been in my gallery for ages. I took it around the middle of last year from memory!

The cat is now gone but I still have the Iskra. 😛

Medium format camera with a terrific lens, rangefinder focusing and a mechanical film counter. Folds up to a nice compact package. What more can you ask? This camera never ceases to amaze. (Trick is getting one that still works.) Great pics.

Between this Iskra and my Balda, I have an embarrassment of riches in folders at the moment. Of course, I went through a few cameras to get here.

Steve, did you use the regular DiXactol or the DiXactol Ultra. Just wondering, as I have a batch of the ultra on the way to me. Thanks.

I used the Barry Thorton 2 bath developer. I found the formula on photo.net (it's everywhere) and bought the bulk chemicals from photographer's formulary.
It's very good I think, and easy to do/use. This was only my 4th roll of film I've developed and the process seems consistant, predictable and forgiving.
