iso 100 in M9-P ?

hi,

sorry for this newbie question.

i am shooting with film (MF) and digital tomorrow, and i am considering using iso 100 as I want to use Acros 100 in 120 format.

To avoid complication, I want to standardize on the ISO, I will be using studio lighting so the M9-P will also serve to preview the lighting in MF as well. I will likely shoot at f8.

But there is no ISO 100 in M9-P, what should I do ?

a. shoot at 160 iso and f8 in m9-p and 100 iso and f5.6 1/2 in Medium format ?

b."pull at 80" under m9p ISO options and meter both at f8 and iso 100.

c. treat 160 and iso 100 as the same.

Shoot at 160, the native ISO for the M9. You get the most dynamic range. If you "must" shoot ISO 100 using an external meter, shoot non-compressed DNG and use Lightroom shift the exposure down 2/3 stop. I would try this out first.

Or- just leave it at ISO 160. ISO 80 is a "Pull" and is just playing against the dynamic range of the sensor.

Come to think of it, Im not sure why Leica decided on 160 instead pf 100..

Shoot the Acros at 160... to match the M9.

Not to cause alarm, but I do question the ISO ratings in digital compared to film, even on the M9P. I'm not sure it is a straight, reliable comparison to compare 100 ISO on digital to 100 ISO on film. For example, I have read that the 160 ISO on the M8 is actually a 200 ISO, but they use the 160 ISO for marketing so it appears "faster".

Bottom line: I suggest continuing to do the research online as you have done here from multiple and unbiased sources (eg, not someone who gets a paycheck or perks from camera companies for their reviews).
