So, Newark airport pretty much sucks...and I based that only on the fact that they don't have free wifi...which I consider like air at this point and my right to access as a human. He he. OK, so, 5 hour layover...what to do? Let's shoot something (don't say that out loud at the airport). All shot with my trusty Zeiss 50mm T* at the lovely 1600 ISO. All post work done in Lightroom...which I also am in love with.
I'd love to see some more grain...so post some of your grit boys and girls!

Some great shots here! And, of course over 1600 ISO is OK, just can't shoot over that on my Epson R-D1.

I guess...my cousin's baby is just 'cousin'...not second cousin, 3rd? I don't know...this whole English language business is complicated. I prefer to shoot...talking and writing...we'll leave that to those who know what they are doing.

One from a year ago today, 1/30th, 4pm on a very dark winter's afternoon...
From what I remember, very little NR on this, level 2 or 3 in PhotoRAW. As long as it has *some* light the R-D1 does a good job, sometimes the grain is a little too fierce for me:
Both of these were @ f/1.4 with the 40mm Nokton...

GREAT picture! The expressions, handlings, the (use of) light, the textures... like a painting almost, blew me away.
