I have a really strange problem with my Powershot G12. I can only use the ISO setting between ISO 160 and 1600. Even trying to change the auto ISO setting, it will not go above 1600. It has no bearing on the result if I change between the different shooting modes P/M/Tv - you name it. Using the ISO dial, the numbers below 160 and over 1600 are grey.
Now, I have been RTFM as well as David Busch´s guide and been searching the blessed WWW but to no avail. I am certain that I am just being clumsy and have overlooked a simple setting. Could someone please help me, before I throw the blasted thing out the window!

I think you have to be in "low light" mode to use anything above 1600.
