Ive been In search of (ISO) a Zorki 1 body to hack and convert to a sort of Zorki "standard"

Im wondering what the best place is to buy russian RF's in the U.S.?
I see a few going on ebay, but 60$ plus 30$ S&H seems steep for a camera that may not even function correctly.

Anyone have a parts Zorki theyde like to part with? (zorki 1,2,3 FED 1 etc.)
Not really looking for something in mint condition, would prefer a parts camera I can spend the time repairing.

Damaged shutter cloth, foggy vf, missing vf, etc. is all fine with me.
Would prefer something that is restorable.

I see alot of people here on RFF are using these cool little camera's and im curious if everyones just bite the bullet and ordered from ebay or fedka for these aparantely steep prices?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Just sold my last Zarya!

I have left:

A Zorki 1d missing the release button. Rangefinder is not working good. Shutter curtain has been replaced. The camera works good, but the winding gears are worn out and its not that smooth/nice.

A frankensteined Fed 1, does not work. Pars of Zorki shutter crate, and a Fed 1G body. Was ruined to build a 'leica' from it.

Just PM me if you are interested. Or in case you need some specific parts. Maybe Oleg has a spare body too, without rangefinder. A fellow member made a 'standard' Zorki from one of his cameras.

Good luck!

Is there a thread of his conversion? I know that Gordon Coale on Electricedge.com did a 1D to "standard" Conversion.

Try Fedka.com for a vast selection of FSU stuff. I have a Zorki that Yuri at Fedka CLAed for me. I also purchased a Jupiter J3 lens from him. He is reliable and does good work.
