Issues with wireless flash on R-D1?

I recently bought a set of cheap Dslrkit wireless transmitter+receivers. They seem to work well enough when I test with my Ricoh GRD1, however when I try with my R-D1, the flash fires but the sync is off, so the camera does not record the flash.
This applies to all shutter speeds. I don't think the camera or the shoe is the problem as I can fire other wireless triggers like Profoto with the R-D1.
Any ideas as to what may be the issue? Except for me being a cheapskate?
 
As I´ve postet long ago, there is no way with cheap remote transmitters and RD1. I simply does not work. You have to buy some expensive gear to have success.

Thanks. Any idea why this is a particular problem for the RD1?
And does anyone have experience with triggers that do work on the RD1? Brands, models, prices?
 
Did you only try the hotshoe or also the X-contact on the lefthand side of the R-D1?

The manual also recommends only to use a speed of 1/125 or less.
 
Yes, I tried every combination of shutter speed and hot shoe/sync cable, but nothing works. To be precise, what happens is that the flash fires only as the shutter closes. If it fires at all...

Forget all tricks, I´ve tried about 2 weeks to make it work with some cheapoes. Never, ever. Buy pocket wizzards, they will work. Ask Epson, they will confirm it.

I´ve decided not to buy such gear. First, because the pocket wizzards are expensive, too expensive for the few opportunitíes to use a flash remote. The RD1 is not a studio camera (6MP files).
Second, with ISO 800 setting you´ll get very natural ambient shots. These are far better and more moody as flash shots could be. Do not drink too much coffee before shooting and your hand would not tremble at 1/15 or 1/8 sec. It works very good for me with assignments in very dark jazz clubs (for band shots).

Well, if nothing else the receivers work as hot shoe adapters with a sync cable attached directly to the camera. I'll just get a looong one.
I also have a bunch of film cameras to try it on. For $20 shipping included (how's that even possible? Wait, don't tell me...), the damage to my wallet is negligible anyway.

I'd still like to know about triggers that are proven to work with the RD1.

I noticed that the Dslr trigger runs on 433 mhz while the Profoto, which does work on the RD1, runs on 2,4 ghz. Does the frequency factor in somehow?
