my paypal account is now officially and completely empty!

some background...
this afternoon brian sent me a messege that he had a j 12 for me and was mailing it out. this was by way of frank s who had sent it to him to see if he could bring it back to life.
now my nikkor 50 had a little 35mm brother.

this was from out of the blue for me and i took it as a sign that the nikon was to be a kit camera. i had been thinking about the cv 28/3.5 to make a nice 50/28 combo and now with the fsu 35 it seemed that it was all meant to be.
and i don't have a 28 in any mount.
so i just ordered and paid for the cv 28 and finder.

and my paypal camera fund is all gone!
again...

not sure if this means i'm done or not but i have 2 camera bags coming in as well and quite honestly i cannot think of anything else i might need/want.

Joe,
This is the photo-gods' way of saying (insert big, deep bass voice here) "You are done my son. go out and photograph."

Ron

no long lenses, i have the 180 zuiko if need be.

i would sell the 90 i have for all that i use it but i just know the minute i ship it off i'll find a need for it.

the entire finder of the s2 will be used for the 35. i have used the 35 for long now i think i could pretty much guess what will be in the photo.

ron, i was out today, with the nikon and took a few shots and hope for some time out tomorrow as well.
i would like to think that i'm done and for tonight that is what i plan on doing.
rover, not real action or it doesn't feel like that anyway. i have been thinking about this for too long and it's supposed to be my hobby, a fun thing.

now to wait for it all to show.

i just looked through both and the nikon is much bigger all round, sides and bottom.
the nikon is also 1:1 which makes for easier viewing, for me anyway.

it's the cv finder rollie.

am i missing something here?

joe

No, shouldn't make a difference. Was also wondering if they still sold
the older 28 plastic finder with the SC lens.

As you know, I like that lens a lot ... great pick.

Roland.

thanks rollie.
i did look but can't remember which finder it comes with.
i better go check again...:)

joe

actually it doen't 'come' with any finder, i ordered one seperate.

Thanks Joe.

I know the IIa has no frame lines, I didn't realize that the S2 did have frame lines. I am trying to decide on a viewfinder for my Contax IIa, I have a Nikkor 35mm f2.5 that I would like to use more often. I use a Voightlander 50mm viewfinder with the 50mm sonnar, I guess I should just bite the bullet and get a Voightlander 35mm finder.

Joe, as for you might need/want : I would suggest FILM!

thanks tom:)
i was talking more about the gear end of things.
film is sort of an ongoing thing;)

while i have bought film on the net (and would again) i normally try to support the local pro shop with most of my film buying. not that i'll ever keep them business alone but i like to keep reminding them that there are still film users out there.

the final frontier itself!

the small domke will be for the nikon with extra lens/es.

the bigger domke for the zi kit or zi plus lens or 2 and nikon plus lens or 2.

the mclassic for those more formal affairs ;)
