It's all in the marketing

Did you read the sellers feedback! Over 650 feedbacks from only 90 members!

Makes sense to me. There's only so many customers available who can afford his prices and with the free shipping....... well, I think that says it all! 😀

Yes, I believe the father should be a "marquis", whereas his mother might be the marquess. This mistake does raise additional questions on credibility. But it does seem a mark of distinction to be descended from noble survivors of the revolution!

The Marquis de St. Germaine is also a name often connected with the Holy Grail, secret societies and the like. Just the name Marquis/ Marqess de St. Germaine raises flags for me. Besides, who's gonna pay this price for an obviously not very valuable camera? And a noble family can't afford a proper photog to take the shots of the camera? Even my 7 year old girl takes better focused shots.

The (well deserved) kidding aside, the fact that the veracity of the item/claims is dubious and Ebay wont do jack squat about it, only serves to demonstrate that "Ebayed" is rapidly becoming a verb, and not a nice one. Look at the "featured" auctions some time. The fact that paypal is owned by ebay, the same people who promote the most snake oil of auctions as "featured items", and they want my bank routing number and refuse to remove my credit card from on file... (you can't delete the last card.) I dont trust these people any further than I can throw them.
