Hey!

I've got bricks of the new stuff. Not available in the States. Let me know if you want some.

Actually, this box looks a lot like the Tri-X Anniversary box that Kodak released in late 2004 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Tri-X. It even has the same twinges of green. Panatomic-X used a more maroon or brownish color against the Kodak yellow.

The font looks a little strange too.

If the 50th Anniversary refers to Tri-X (as per the Shutterbug article in Novenmber 2004) why is it celebrated on the Pan-X box, which was amuch earlier film than Tri-X?

I hope it's not a hoax, Russ. We know where you live and might flash you with our Holgas if you're pulling our chains ! :D

On close inspection, you'll notice that the "P", "A" and "N" are of slightly different weights, and on the 135 box the "A" appears misaligned.

Also, the style of the large letter "F", with the extra little serif sticking out to the left at the top, is not the normal appearance of the "F" in that typeface (Copperplate Gothic). It looks as if it was made from a letter "T" by moving the vertical stem and cloning one of the horizontal bars. (You can even see some signs of retouching in the interior of the letter.)

Looks to me like someone having a little image-editor fun with a Tri-X Pan Professional (ISO 320) Pro-Pack box. Dunno if it's Russ spoofing us, or someone else spoofing him, but I'm not going to be holding my breath for this one. Sorry...

Com'on.
We all know Russ doesn't scan that well. He got this pic from someone else.
NOT ME!
But if he sends me a roll or 2 I'll let you all see the results.

I'm down to my last dozen rolls from 100 ft. bulk. been saving it for years.

I'm going to start learning to use Efke KB14 and 17.

I still have 4 rolls....my all-time favorite film. Nice conversaton piece, at this point. Hmmm, should I mount them on a display stand, or inside a lucite block, or a shadow box, that'd be nice..... :)
