so, i'm looking at some new pics in the gallery and i'm glad to see some shots by todd hanz.
todd is a favourite shooter of mine.
i like how he handles a 28, he was an inspiration for my getting a 28 recently.
his stuff usually has a 'look' to it and it's almost always very simple but telling.

anyway, i'm looking at his latest and i start to think that maybe i'm missing out and maybe i really need to just maybe think about getting some leica glass cause his pics sure have a great look to them and if i only had some of that german glass...and then i check and discover the shot was taken with a oly sp!

damn, it's not the glass...it's the shooter!

gonna go and practice some more now...

(not meant to embarrass you todd 🙂 )

Many thanks Joe, I'm flattered. BTW, it's not the camera it's the computer, I use a Mac. 😀

thanks,
Todd

I agree. it must be the Mac🙂......No, it's the eye of the shooter and the knowledge of his/her tools.

Yes. Very nice. This post made me look twice. Curious about one or two of the photos. Maybe I'll ask my questions in the gallery. BTW, this raises two points:

1. How will Todd know if someone leaves comments in the gallery? I suppose he'll see them when he looks through it. Not expecting too much, but just wondering how this works.

2. Joe, please tell me how do I see the photo details? Like what equipment was used, film etc.. I've been browsing through the galleries for a while now, but just can't see it anywhere. Feeling very stupid.

when you upload a pic you can check off if you would like to be notified by email when a comment is left.

the details for much of the work in the gallery was lost with that last transmigration (word?)
normally the details, if provided, are just below the pic on the left.

Ah! Thanks. I had seen some comments like "...great use of tri-x..." and was wondering how someone figured that out. It does sound simple when it has been explained. Kinda like Sherlock Holmes and Watson.

Is it still possible to go re-enter that stuff? I wondered what happened to it. I know when you upload something now it doesn't ask for it anymore.

OBTW, according to Webster's, transmigrate/transmigration is indeed a word. 🙂 🙂

dunno!

oh jorge?

Dang! Now I gotta get a Leica AND a Mac?

Does GAS apply to computers?

I look at the World (wide web) through a Blue-Screen-of-Death colored Window 🙁
