Yeah, let's bring out the champagne...

Let me add my voice to the joyful choir: thanks, Jorge!

And sorry about being such a fussy, neophobe bunch... Right when I was getting ready to "explore" the "new" format! :)

I'm sorry if we gave you a hard time, Jorge. Perhaps a full redesign was more than we could handle. Now, if you were to slip in one or two small changes at a time (without telling us) would we make as much a fuss or not? There were some really nice tweaks in that new design that I was starting to like, like the unread active threads being in bold and being able to have the latest post first in the thread.

And the colour scheme of the forum pages was nice. Makes this "old" design look... well, old. :p

Woh !? I thought 'hey, what a huge cache I have configured here!' :D

I must say I LOVE this layout, the new one had some nice and interesting options though, but this one is just fantastic :)

Jorge, thanks for not kicking us off the forum !!!!!! :p

I'm old and I'm back too!

After buying matching color stocking caps last week, it's great to be back home.

hmmrrr...change bad...grumble, grumble...like old...humbug...
happy now.

The only thing I didn't like about the new layout was the colors and the tiny fonts. Everything else I could have gotten used to.

thanks, Jorge

Jorge, i wonder what did you expect from a bunch of folks using 50 year old cameras (at least in their design) :D

I agree with Remy on these two for sure.

Hey Jorge thanks for putting up with our moaning. We do love you, maybe not as much as your wife does though... ;)

Calculator? Whazzat? :)

To be fair, I still use the same TI-35 II that I bought in 1982 when I went to high school. Replaced the battery perhaps as much as... oh, 2 times in all those years. And you know, one plus one is still two!

Hé, I was approaching 800 posts! Now I'm back at 778 (779 with this post)! No fair! How will ever catch up with Joe or rover or any of the other 1000+ posters in this way?!

This format and design isn't "old" at all ... in my opinion it looks better than any other forum I have seen on the internet.

I think the real genius is in this original design. Remembering back to my first visit it was very easy to quickly navigate to various threads, and the layout and color scheme felt immediately comfortable. Because of that initial ease I soon became aware of the true value of the site, which is of course its members and what we share here. The functional efficiency of this design is not unlike that of some of our favorite cameras (Contax IIa, Leica M3, Canon P, etc.) -- perfect simplicity or simple perfection:)

Thank you, Jorge:D

Jorge, thanks for all the hard work you put into the new scheme. As long as the same members stay on board, I'll be happy with RFF regardless of the layout. The new look would have been fine given time to work out a few kinks but I like the old one just fine.

Either way, thanks for a great board!
