Pentax *ist DS, Sears 135mm f/2.8 Macro lens. I had to modify the mount, as it has both the Pentax "A" and the Ricoh "P" hardware/electric contacts and if left alone, it would have jammed onto the camera body permanently. Easy fix. Shot at f/4, 1/2000, ISO 200.

Wow Leica glow !!!

Nice though, why does it glow ?

I do not know, but I presume it is down to an aberration in the lens design. This is a fixed focal length lens (Made in Korea for Sears) with a Macro function that requires twisting the top of the lens to one of several detente-stopped settings. I have noticed that on the 'most macro' setting when the light is coming in at oblique angle, I often get this soft glow on whatever I'm photographing. I like the effect, but it is not produced in software - this is from this particular lens, and only under unusual circumstances. I wish I could make it do it on demand, but I really enjoy it when it happens.
