Canon LTM I've been a BAD Boy!

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Well, Ralph, congratulations. You got the seemingly holy grail of ltm normal lenses. Please tell us if it is indeed magical. I'm still looking for one.

Frank, I immediately ripped that Summi....?what are they called?.... off the M6 and popped on the Canon. What a beautiful little lens.

Film is loaded and I have started shooting with it. It will stay on the camera for a while, actually, I will shoot a few rolls with it and hopefully process a bunch together for a comparison.

Bad rover, BAD....!!!!

Now pop off that Canon or I bash you and bash you and bash you....! :D

I will say this, there is no better made lens in my bag right now. What a piece of mechanical craftsmanship.

No bigger than the small Canon 50/1.8 which is not a surprise as they share the same filter ring diameter, 40mm. My Series VI 50/1.9 Lens Hood fits fine, seems a shame though to slip it over the metal of the lens. This lens is truely like new, mucking up the finish would be a shame. I may look for a screw in round hood. Ergonomicly it feels really good. The focus ring may be a little narrow, but not too much so. I am looking for places to go to shoot this weekend. The Norwich Navigators, a AA minor league baseball team is home this weekend. That should afford me some good people shots, candids.

Warms the heart to see a Sonnar on a Leica... :D Looking forward to seeing what you catch with it.

I have been REALLY BAD!!!

The first roll with the F1.5 and the little IIf was a knock-your-socks-off and I have not scanned yet. I have been playing with the newly-repaired -and ancient- DCS200IR. Mind you, this is one case where scanning negatives is easier than using THIS digital SLR. But the IR pictures are cool. AND I may adapt a Canon 50mm F1.5 to it anyway. The one from Frank has a long focal length as it is missing the rear lens group. That and my LTM to Nikon F adapter...

what kills me is that i like the 50/1.8 and i have no REAL NEED for anything faster.

but no, you have to shove that fine looking chrome barrel into my face...

and it's the 50/1.4 that i mostly want cause of it's rep...

what's a poor boy to do?

It never ends Joe, it really doesn't.
I know this is not Canon gear but does misery love company, or is there something contagious on this site (I'm looking to blame anyone other than myself for my "Bad Boy" behavior tonight). Two items that I really didn't need, but sure am glad to have -- although I might be sleeping in the guest room for the next few nights (good thing we don't have a dog or it could be worse:D)

If that poor Contax I ever needs a respite from all those Swiss, I'd be happy to give it a vacation... :D Especially if one of the Cousin Tessars comes along... :D :D :D

Much more seriously, that's a beautiful pair. Will they be used together?

William
