I've been roasted

Who is this barbecue guy? Nothing against him but I'm sure he is someone who has received the $hit treatment on RFF. His blog is a bit too sarcastic and self-conscious for my taste..

This guy was called arrogant and other things. I think he is.

If his greatness were actually true, he'd be a generous person, but his comments are gratuitiously mean, covered by a particular brand of mediocre sarcasm. Just don't pay attention to his gesture.

now now! Read it like entertainment say "Pulp Fiction". Now is it better? I like it actually, but as has been mentioned elsewhere on this topic and this site , each to his own.

Ywenz, he has a bone to pick because he cannot take any kind of criticism. There are ways to reply to it, and people who can do it. I've been "roasted" before (not by my technical skills, mind you) in the other forum, but I was able to detect who was worth replying and who wasn't.

I guess he needs a life, a real job, something to keep his mind on the task at hand: produce photographs. Supposedly, that's his métier...

Todd, some would rather watch a police car chase than a piece of art.

Your photos hold a special place for me. Anybody can critique.

Hey, I think Lame Mathews Band sucks, but he and his millions don't care, right?

🙂

He's Chris Weeks. *shrug*

He's a sarcastic ******* and he always gets my thumbs up cause I'm a great fan of sarcasm. Hell of a hard working photographer and a nice guy to boot.

Anyways, isn't that what a blog is for? Ranting? 🙂

With the replies to his street photography article, which was made in mind for deviantArt users, I can see why he's annoyed. Hell, it was free. *shrug*

hey, don't get me wrong. I'm enjoying the plublicity on my blog, he single handedly raised my hit count tenfold 😀

Welcome to the club Todd. I was hit for a bit in the posting you origionally linked to. Really pretty funny, actually, as if his dis is going to make me change my way of shooting. I'll still stick to "On Being A Photographer" over his materials, though.

I have to admit that is one damn fine "gate" picture 😉

The only criticism I have is that there is no celebrity in front of it, so you really can't compete with your critic's groundbreaking avant garde Paris Hilton and Tom Cruise (TomKat) work.

Kind of like the James Nachtwey of paparazzi photography. Dodging celebrity fists, risking his life to unveil the underbelly of Hollywood for us, very cool 😎

i cringe at the suggestion that what he does is in any way photojournalistic. it's all advertising. wait, am i talking about weeks or nachtwey...

I don't get the comments about Chris being sarcastic.
Sarcasm requires some writing skill and humour.

Really sad that a d*ck-w*d like that is involved in an online photo competition where I would hope that one of the reasons for even doing it is to come together as a group of photographers and share and enjoy photos.

It appears Chris will only enjoy his own inane words and praise on what is a fairly unimpressive body of work for someone that is focusing on photography.

I actually liked that photo and I stated so in the RFF gallery...and now chris disses it...my tender world is broken."The gods walk the earth, and mere mortals must stay out of the way or be crushed underfoot."
😉

(anyway, enough of knock'n on folks for the week...I'm off to go shoot so I can win that DA contest...cheers)
