Is anyone aware of a source for good LTM J-9?

I bought one last year and it was so far off that even Kim's (that is our british moderator) best efforts could not fix it.

Other people experiences seem to be pretty close.

I like the lesn and if used near infinity at f8 or more gives brilliant result, but at 1.2 m is backfocusing by 1 ft or so.

So I was wondering if there is a reliable way to get a j-9 with focus spot on.

I think that your best bet is to try and win one at eb*y. Your luck might be better with another j-9.

I was lucky enough to land a good one, but foolish enough to sell it. It seems that LTM versions are scarcer on eb*y now.

I bought mine from eBay along time ago. Can't remember from whom but it must have been one of the reputable FSU sellers. My J-9 is sweet but it flared easily and badly. So, I stuck a Heliopan 2.5cm + 1.25cm long hood on it. When wide open this hood is too long, causing vignetting, so I might have to take of the 1.25cm part.
